Reindeer Farm Visit

Group will meet at our office in Saariselkä and will be transferred to the Reindeer farm. At the farm we shall go to see the reindeer. We may try to feed them with lichen.

We shall practice our skills to catch a reindeer with a traditional rope “suohpán”.

After seeing reindeer we shall enter to a Lappish wooden hut – “kota”. Coffee with cake will be offered by the open fire. We shall hear about the Sámi culture and reindeer herding. Please, do not hesitate to ask if you have questions in mind.

Here at the reindeer farm we can realize that we do not always need to be in a hurry, but relax and enjoy the moment. How peaceful and quiet the nature can be!

Whats included in this tour?

Guiding, transfer, required equipment, thermal equipment, coffee / tea with cake, seeing & feeding reindeer, stories of Sámi culture and reindeer herding.
