Inarijarvi Expedition – [5 days]

The INARI Expedition gives you 5 days adventure in the heart of Lapland where you will experience the wild forest landscape on a snowmobile.

We pass through the forest landscape with all its different countryside characteristics from moors to thick snow-covered pine forests and frozen lakes. You will also have the opportunity to walk on snowshoes/fishing program.

Chances to see moose, reindeer and other wildlife are normally good.

Inari Lake Snowmobile Expedition 370 km – 5-day Snowmobile Trip

Itinerary:

Day 1

– Meeting with the participants in the Ivalo airport or hotel (If you want to arrive a few days before the expedition we recommend accommodation in Saariselka)

– Accommodation in holiday cabins, 2-4 people shared an apartment

– Dinner (Usually available until 19.00)

– Sauna

Day 2

– Breakfast.

– Preparations, packing, safety brief, and driving lesson

– Snowmobile safari

– Coffee break on the trail

– Accommodation in a wooden cottage

– Walk on snowshoes (optional)

– Dinner

Day 3

– Breakfast.

– Snowmobile safari: a full day driving across the Finish Lapland.

–  Coffee break on the trail

– Accommodation in a wooden cottage

– Fishing program (optional)

– Dinner

Day 4

– Breakfast.

– Snowmobile safari

– Coffee break on the trail

– Bus transfer from Kakslauttanen to Saariselka

– Accommodation in Saariselka

– Dinner

– Sauna

Day 5

– Breakfast

– Bus transfer back to Ivalo

 

Lake Inari with its over 3,000 islands and an extremely varied 3300 km long coastline is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pearls of Lapland nature.

The expedition route also runs along the frozen Ivalojoki River. After defeating the south-eastern side of Lake Inari, the expedition will reach Sevettijarvi, a city inhabited by the Sami Skelt community.

From Sevettijarvi we will head south-west reaching the town of Inari. Inari is the cultural and administrative center of the Finnish Sami. It houses, among others Sida – a museum showing the culture of the native inhabitants of Lapland and the nature of the far north of Europe.

Minimum 2 persons traveling together.
